Alex is a GP by trade but has worked in anaesthetics and emergency medicine. He has worked as doctor on many overseas expeditions and developed a post graduate masters programme in expedition medicine. He is a volunteer crew navigator, helm and doctor on the RNLI Torbay lifeboat.
