Dr Simon Fairclough is a GP and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) doctor based near Bideford, responding to incidents across North Devon.

Simon has extensive experience in urgent and emergency care, including working in a variety of austere and challenging environments.

He is also a Critical Care Doctor with the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS) Cymru / Wales Air Ambulance and works with the Somerset Ambulance Doctor Service.

He is Co-Chair of the BASICS Southwest Committee, supporting clinical governance and helping promote volunteer immediate care responders across the region.

Living in North Devon with his wife, children and an assortment of dogs, Simon is passionate about supporting local communities and helping ensure that patients receive the right care as early as possible, wherever they become unwell or injured. Away from medicine, he enjoys running, surfing and making the most of the North Devon coastline.

He holds the Diploma in Immediate Medical Care.
